About the Brand
Brand logo
Bodyologist was founded in Denmark by Charlotte Winther Nørlev and Didde Juul, beauty industry veterans with 30 years of experience. They created the brand to give body care the same status as facial skincare. Each formula is powered by proven actives at high concentrations, including Retinol, to deliver visible renewal and anti-ageing results while treating the body with equal care.

Bodyologist gives body skin the same care we expect for the face. The formulas use Retinol, Niacinamide, and Lactic Acid to renew, smooth, and brighten without irritation. Skin feels smoother, looks firmer, and gains a healthy glow with consistent use. It is body care that works hard, feels good, and makes a real difference you can see and feel every day.

Bodyologist takes body care further by targeting the root causes of ageing. Retinol accelerates cell turnover and supports collagen to improve firmness, smooth texture, and fade uneven tone. Each formula is calibrated to the skin’s natural pH of ~5 to strengthen the barrier, preserve hydration, and protect against external stress. This pH balance helps maintain optimal skin function and long-term resilience.

Nourishing

Nourishing body care delivers deep comfort and softness through rich, replenishing textures. Formulated with oils, ceramides, and barrier-strengthening ingredients, these treatments restore essential lipids and hydration to improve resilience and suppleness. They instantly soothe dryness, smooth rough texture, and leave your skin feeling nurtured, calm, and visibly healthier. Well-nourished skin is more radiant, less reactive, and beautifully soft to the touch.

Anti-PIH (Post-Inflammatory Pigmentation)

Anti-PIH treatments target Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH), which shows up as dark marks after inflammation or injury, like acne. These skincare products help heal the skin, reduce inflammation, and promote regeneration while blocking melanin production. This helps fade and prevent dark marks effectively.

Plumping

Skin plumping involves using active ingredients to boost the production of key structural components like collagen, the dermal-epidermal junction, and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), giving your skin more volume and density. Collagen provides structural support and firmness, while the dermal-epidermal junction, a thin connective layer, ensures smooth, wrinkle-free skin by facilitating cell communication. GAGs, like hyaluronic acid, keep your skin hydrated and plump from within. By stimulating these components, active ingredients help restore your skin's plumpness and radiance.

Firming

Skin firming focuses on boosting your skin's elasticity and tightness to reduce sagging and wrinkles, leaving your skin looking firmer. This is done by stimulating fibroblasts to produce more elastin, the protein that helps your skin stretch and bounce back. To keep your skin firm longer, antioxidants protect these elastin fibres from free radical damage, which can cause early breakdown. This combined action helps maintain a youthful, resilient complexion.

Lifting

Lifting is all about visibly firming and tightening skin that shows signs of sagging. As we age, our skin produces less collagen and elastin, the proteins that keep it firm and elastic. Sun exposure and pollution make this worse, leading to a sagging appearance. Lifting products work by creating a tightening film on your skin for an immediate lift, while also rejuvenating it over time. These actives stimulate collagen production and improve skin tone and elasticity, helping to restore facial contours and enhance overall firmness.

Hydrating

Hydration is all about the water content in your skin that keeps it supple and healthy. Humectants, ingredients with water-binding properties, deliver this hydration by attracting water molecules from the atmosphere. For the best results, apply hydrating serums right after a shower. Humectants not only replenish your skin's hydration but also enhance its water retention, creating a long-lasting hydration reservoir. Adding humectants like hyaluronic acid to your routine will restore your skin's healthy glow, minimize fine lines, and provide a plumping effect.

Complexion-Unifying (Anti-Blotchiness)

Evening skin tone is all about reducing blotchiness and achieving a more uniform complexion. Skincare and body care products designed for this purpose use a blend of active ingredients, including soothing agents, anti-pigmentation compounds, antioxidants, and skin-restoring elements. These ingredients work together to diminish redness, inflammation, and pigment irregularities caused by inflammation, while also strengthening and protecting your skin against environmental irritants and future damage. This promotes healing and resilience, leaving your skin more balanced, radiant, and beautiful.

Retinol Exfoliation

Exfoliating with retinol speeds up skin cell turnover, stimulating new, fresher skin cells to replace old, damaged ones. This process helps the top layers of your skin shed more quickly, effectively unclogging pores, smoothing uneven, rough, and thickened textures, and promoting a more unified complexion. The result is visibly smoother, brighter, and clearer skin. Additionally, accelerated cell turnover with retinol improves the appearance of post-blemish marks, sun damage, and signs of ageing like wrinkles, leaving your skin looking rejuvenated and youthful.

Chemical Exfoliation

Chemical exfoliation uses acids to dissolve the "glue" holding dead skin cells together, promoting skin cell turnover and replacing old cells with new, healthy ones. Acids like AHAs, BHAs, and PHAs not only help shed skin but also offer benefits like brightening, clarifying, and anti-ageing, depending on the type used.

Active Ingredients

  • - + Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate)
  • - + Squalane
  • - + Retinol (Vitamin A)
  • - + Vitamin E
  • - + Alpha-Hydroxy Acids
Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate)

Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid (LMW-HA) is a smaller, more penetrative form of hyaluronic acid. Unlike high molecular weight forms that primarily hydrate the skin’s surface, LMW-HA has the ability to penetrate deeper into the epidermis, where it attracts and binds water to maintain optimal moisture levels from within. This deep hydration helps improve skin elasticity, firmness, and smoothness, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and dehydration-induced wrinkles. Additionally, LMW-HA supports skin barrier repair and enhances overall suppleness, making the complexion look plumper and more resilient. It is ideal for dehydrated, dull, or mature skin, and especially those in need of long-lasting hydration and improved texture.

Squalane

Squalane is a skin-identical lipid with a high affinity for the skin. Naturally found in human sebum, it enhances the skin's barrier function and promotes efficient water retention. Lightweight and non-comedogenic, squalane is suitable for all skin types.

Retinol (Vitamin A)

Vitamin A also known as retinol is one of the most well proven skincare actives for treating blemishes, pigmentation, and signs of ageing. It works by speeding up cell turnover, stimulating collagen and elastin production, supporting DNA repair and regulating melanin (pigment) and sebum (oil) overproduction. This results in a smoother, firmer, more even complexion.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a powerful oil-soluble antioxidant renowned for its excellent skin-protecting and replenishing properties. It helps prevent premature ageing by safeguarding skin cell membranes from damaging free radicals. Its nourishing qualities strengthen the skin barrier, enhancing resilience against environmental aggressors and improving water retention by reducing trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL). Additionally, Vitamin E has soothing effect thanks to it anti-inflammatory properties.

Alpha-Hydroxy Acids

Alpha-Hydroxy Acids are a chemical exfoliant which exfoliate the top layers of the skin, offering a variety of benefits. They are mostly derived from plant-based sources. Some of the most common AHAs are Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Citric Acid, Mandelic Acid and Malic Acid. Depending on the type of AHA, they can reduce dullness, even skin tone, reduce pigmentation, tighten pores, stimulate collagen production, hydrate the skin and offer antioxidant protection. AHAs are generally less irritating and drying to the skin as they are water-soluble.

Spotlight

Retinol

Vitamin A, commonly known as retinol, is a highly effective skincare active with well-documented benefits for addressing acne, hyperpigmentation, and signs of aging. It works by accelerating cellular turnover, stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis, and supporting DNA repair mechanisms, which collectively enhance skin elasticity and firmness. Retinol also regulates melanin production, helping to even out skin tone and reduce pigmentation. Additionally, it strengthens the skin's barrier function, promoting a smoother, more resilient complexion. These mechanisms make retinol a cornerstone ingredient for achieving healthier, rejuvenated skin.
