Chronobiology

What further sets RAESO apart is its product formulation centred around the science of Chronobiology. For those unaware, Chronobiology is the study of biological rhythms and how they influence natural processes, such as the skin’s cellular regeneration, in response to cycles like the daily light-dark cycle. 

The most well-known biological rhythm is the circadian rhythm, a 24-hour cycle that regulates key skin functions such as cell repair, hydration, and sebum production. During the day, the skin prioritises defence, boosting sebum production and activating antioxidant mechanisms to protect against environmental stressors such as UV radiation and pollution. At night however, it shifts into repair mode, accelerating cell turnover, collagen synthesis, and moisture retention. The key to healthy skin is tailoring your regimen to this cycle, ensuring you use the correct products at the right time.  

During the day, while you go about your hustle and bustle, your skin is bombarded with everything from pollution, UV rays, and harsh weather conditions. These stressors can cause free radical damage, accelerate ageing, and leave skin looking dull, dry, and irritated. It’s crucial to protect your skin with ingredients that shield it from these external aggressors, keeping it healthy, vibrant, and resilient throughout the day. 

Morning Dew Vitamin C Serum

RAESO’s Morning Dew Vitamin C Serum awakes, brightens and protects the skin with stabilised Vitamin C. Paired with Tocopherol (Vitamin E) and Ferulic Acid, these powerful free radical scavengers not only prevent, but work to reverse sun damage.  Sauvignon Blanc Grape heals inflammation, thereby reducing the appearance of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) while fortifying the skin against future complexion concerns. Grapes are among nature’s most beneficial fruits, packed with powerful antioxidants like Polyphenols and Resveratrol that protect the skin from environmental stressors. These antioxidants combat free radical damage and support a radiant complexion. 

The grape seeds used in Morning Dew Vitamin C Serum are grown in the Marlborough valleys and contain twice as many Polyphenols as any other grape seeds in the world. These Polyphenols are exceptional at reversing the signs of ageing, such as sunspots, fine lines, and wrinkles, while also offering protection against future UV skin damage.  

Morning Dew Vitamin C Serum also contains Native Kānuka, a remarkable plant celebrated for its restorative and calming properties. Rich in Arabinogalactan Proteins (AGPs), known immunostimulators, it helps to soothe and repair damaged skin, promoting healing and strength. Sun Milk Drops SPF50

While Vitamin C is definitely a potent ingredient, we all know nothing can replace our SPF. The RAESO Sun Milk Drops SPF50 cover all your UVA and UVB bases, while elegantly absorbing into the skin. Lightweight and non-comedogenic, they provide a glow enhancing finish, while providing skin with the calming benefits of Bisabolol, a Chamomile derived anti-inflammatory ingredient. Niacinamide works alongside it to improve the overall tone of skin, by rebuilding the lipid layer and reducing the appearance of large pores.  

A breathable, unique Polymer Matrix creates a “second skin”, blocking the penetration of toxic pollutants, without causing breakouts. Throughout the day, especially in busy cities like London, our skin is exposed to millions of environmental contaminations. These invisible particles can become embedded within pores, triggering inflammatory responses which exacerbate acne, rosacea and even hyperpigmentation. The Polymer Matrix within RAESO Sun Milk Drops SPF50, helps to shield skin from these damaging particles, while creating a dewy, “lit from within” glow to skin. And despite its barrier protective properties, the Polymer Matrix is lightweight, making it suitable for all skin types, even those prone to acne. 

Yellow Moonbeam Retinal Elixir

At night, as your body rests, your skin is in repair mode. Cellular regeneration is also at its peak, allowing your skin to reverse damage from the day, restore moisture, and rebuild collagen. This is when active ingredients can work their best, helping to nourish, renew, and rejuvenate the skin, leaving it refreshed and revitalised by morning. Hence why highly active ingredients such as retinoids are oftentimes regulated to evening use.

Yellow Moonbeam Retinal Elixir contains next generation retinoid (read more on our retinoids here) Retinal that has been encapsulated to ensure optimum delivery. Retinal is clinically proven to work 11 times faster than retinol, with less of the irritation. Yellow Moonbeam Retinal Elixir also features Bakuchiol, a natural plant alternative to retinoids. This duo works synergistically to smooth and tighten the skin as you sleep. Native Marine Red Sea Algae. rich in Polysaccharides, Peptides, Vitamins, and Antioxidants, this sea extract offers multiple skin benefits. It promotes collagen production, enhancing firmness and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, helping keep skin tight and taut. 

Highly hydrating, Yellow Moonbeam Retinal pairs its Algae with Squalane to further retain moisture, strengthen the skin barrier, and improve elasticity. Native Marine Red Sea Algae is hand-harvested off the southern New Zealand coast, following the strict harvesting practices of indigenous peoples, guided by Tikanga Māori, to ensure minimal environmental impact. 

Cocoon Ceramide Cream

As your serum works through the night, sealing it with a moisturiser allows it to be as effective as possible. A moisturiser is essential at night because it helps to lock in hydration while the skin is in its repair mode. During sleep, the skin’s barrier is more permeable, allowing active ingredients to absorb better and work more effectively. A nourishing moisturiser, such as the RAESO Cocoon Ceramide Cream replenishes lost moisture, supports the skin’s natural repair processes, and helps prevent dryness, ensuring that the skin stays soft, supple, and well-balanced as it regenerates.
