About the Brand
Brand logo
Bodyologist was founded in Denmark by Charlotte Winther Nørlev and Didde Juul, beauty industry veterans with 30 years of experience. They created the brand to give body care the same status as facial skincare. Each formula is powered by proven actives at high concentrations, including Retinol, to deliver visible renewal and anti-ageing results while treating the body with equal care.

Bodyologist gives body skin the same care we expect for the face. The formulas use Retinol, Niacinamide, and Lactic Acid to renew, smooth, and brighten without irritation. Skin feels smoother, looks firmer, and gains a healthy glow with consistent use. It is body care that works hard, feels good, and makes a real difference you can see and feel every day.

Bodyologist takes body care further by targeting the root causes of ageing. Retinol accelerates cell turnover and supports collagen to improve firmness, smooth texture, and fade uneven tone. Each formula is calibrated to the skin’s natural pH of ~5 to strengthen the barrier, preserve hydration, and protect against external stress. This pH balance helps maintain optimal skin function and long-term resilience.

Anti-Pigmentation

Dealing with pigmentation means targeting melanin overproduction to reduce dark spots and prevent new ones. Melanin production can be triggered by UV exposure, pollution, hormonal changes (like during pregnancy), and inflammation (from acne or cuts). This excess pigment is then transferred to surrounding cells in epidermis called keratinocytes, which then moves to the skin's surface, causing visible dark spots.

To treat hyperpigmentation, a personalised and consistent approach is needed. Our anti-pigmentation products include lightening agents to block tyrosinase (the enzyme that creates melanin), antioxidants to fight free radicals, and ingredients to speed up skin cell turnover, removing pigmented cells. Using broad-spectrum sun protection is crucial to prevent new pigmentation during treatment.

Anti-Wrinkle

Anti-wrinkle products work to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles by boosting collagen and elastin, essential proteins that keep your skin glowing. Collagen helps reduce wrinkle depth, while elastin shortens their length. Keeping your skin hydrated is crucial, as dehydration can make wrinkles more noticeable. For smooth, bouncy skin, ensure you stay well-hydrated and use products that promote collagen and elastin production.

Renewing

Renewing skincare focuses on accelerating the skin’s natural turnover cycle to reveal fresher, more refined skin beneath the surface. At the core of this process are retinoids — vitamin A derivatives that function at a cellular level to regulate gene expression, increase cell turnover, and stimulate collagen production, leading to smoother texture, improved tone, and reduced appearance of fine lines and imperfections. Phyto-retinols, plant-derived alternatives, offer a complementary approach by mimicking many of these renewal signals while being generally better tolerated, helping to enhance skin regeneration and clarity without the same level of irritation. Together, these actives promote a continuous cycle of shedding and renewal, refining the skin’s surface while supporting long-term structural improvement for a visibly brighter, more even, and rejuvenated complexion.

Scar-Repairing

Anti-Scarring skincare targets the textured scars left by acne breakouts. These scars form due to inflammation disrupting collagen and elastin fibres leading to uneven healing and indented areas. Anti-Scarring actives harness growth factors and exfoliating actives to stimulate cell repair and regeneration, optimising the skin's healing process to reduce scar formation. They also effectively diminish older scars, improving overall skin texture and leaving you with a smoother complexion and significantly reduced scar visibility.

Brightening

Brightening your skin means restoring its natural glow. One of the best ways to do this is through exfoliation. By exfoliating, you promote faster skin cell turnover, replacing old, damaged cells with fresh, radiant ones. This keeps your skin looking vibrant and healthy.

Sculpting

Lifting is all about visibly firming and tightening skin that shows signs of sagging. As we age, our skin produces less collagen and elastin, the proteins that keep it firm and elastic. Sun exposure and pollution make this worse, leading to a sagging appearance. Lifting products work by creating a tightening film on your skin for an immediate lift, while also rejuvenating it over time. These actives stimulate collagen production and improve skin tone and elasticity, helping to restore facial contours and enhance overall firmness.

Antioxidant

Antioxidant Protection shields your skin and preserves its youthful glow. It refers to a defence system that protects against harmful molecules and keeps your complexion healthy and radiant. Free radicals, those incredibly reactive molecules, come from everyday sources like sunlight, diet, smoking, and pollution. They attack healthy cells, accelerating skin ageing, causing wrinkles, loss of firmness, pigmentation, and dullness. Incorporating antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E, into your routine creates a protective shield on your skin. These powerful ingredients neutralise free radicals, preventing them from causing damage. The result is skin that stays youthful, firm, and luminous.

Nourishing

Nourishing body care delivers deep comfort and softness through rich, replenishing textures. Formulated with oils, ceramides, and barrier-strengthening ingredients, these treatments restore essential lipids and hydration to improve resilience and suppleness. They instantly soothe dryness, smooth rough texture, and leave your skin feeling nurtured, calm, and visibly healthier. Well-nourished skin is more radiant, less reactive, and beautifully soft to the touch.

Skin Barrier Strengthening

Strengthening your skin barrier involves replenishing the key elements in the top layer of your skin (stratum corneum), leading to a stronger and healthier barrier. These essential elements include lipids (ceramides, fatty acids, and cholesterol) and Natural Moisturizing Factors (amino acids, hyaluronic acid, etc.). Various factors, such as incorrect skincare use, seasonal changes, and aesthetic treatments, can damage your skin barrier. When this happens, your skin loses excess water through Trans Epidermal Water Loss (T.E.W.L) and becomes less capable of defending against environmental stressors, resulting in dryness, sensitivity, and irritation.\n\nA healthy skin barrier is crucial for overall skin health as it helps prevent hydration loss, protects against environmental damage, and reduces the risk of skin conditions like eczema and acne. By strengthening your skin barrier, you ensure your skin remains well-hydrated, resilient, and protected.

Reduces Trans Epidermal Water Loss

Reducing Trans Epidermal Water Loss (TEWL) is key to maintaining your skin’s optimal hydration levels. By strengthening your skin’s natural barrier, these ingredients prevent water from escaping, keeping your skin well-hydrated and plump. The result is a smoother, more supple complexion with improved texture and resilience, giving you a healthier, more radiant look.

Chemical Exfoliation

Chemical exfoliation uses acids to dissolve the "glue" holding dead skin cells together, promoting skin cell turnover and replacing old cells with new, healthy ones. Acids like AHAs, BHAs, and PHAs not only help shed skin but also offer benefits like brightening, clarifying, and anti-ageing, depending on the type used.

Anti-Acne

Body acne arises from a complex interplay of factors, including hyperkeratinisation that blocks follicles, excess sebum creating a lipid-rich environment, and bacterial overgrowth that triggers inflammation. Combined with friction, sweat, and occlusive fabrics, these processes make truncal acne particularly persistent and prone to post-inflammatory marks.

Anti-body acne formulations are designed to act across these mechanisms. They encourage balanced desquamation to keep pores clear, support a healthier skin flora to limit acne-causing bacteria, and calm the inflammatory cascades that drive redness and discomfort. With consistent use, these products help break the cycle of recurrent blemishes, smooth uneven texture, and reduce visible scarring, gradually restoring clear, balanced, and more resilient skin across the body.

Hydrating

Hydration is all about the water content in your skin that keeps it supple and healthy. Humectants, ingredients with water-binding properties, deliver this hydration by attracting water molecules from the atmosphere. For the best results, apply hydrating serums right after a shower. Humectants not only replenish your skin's hydration but also enhance its water retention, creating a long-lasting hydration reservoir. Adding humectants like hyaluronic acid to your routine will restore your skin's healthy glow, minimize fine lines, and provide a plumping effect.

Non-Comedogenic

Non-comedogenic skincare is specifically formulated to avoid clogging pores, making it ideal for skin prone to congestion, breakouts, or excess oil. These formulations are carefully designed using ingredients that do not block the pore or contribute to the build-up of sebum and debris within it, allowing the skin to function normally without obstruction. By maintaining clear pores and supporting a balanced skin environment, non-comedogenic products help reduce the likelihood of blackheads, whiteheads, and blemishes.

Retinol (Vitamin A)

Vitamin A also known as retinol is one of the most well proven skincare actives for treating blemishes, pigmentation, and signs of ageing. It works by speeding up cell turnover, stimulating collagen and elastin production, supporting DNA repair and regulating melanin (pigment) and sebum (oil) overproduction. This results in a smoother, firmer, more even complexion.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a powerful oil-soluble antioxidant renowned for its excellent skin-protecting and replenishing properties. It helps prevent premature ageing by safeguarding skin cell membranes from damaging free radicals. Its nourishing qualities strengthen the skin barrier, enhancing resilience against environmental aggressors and improving water retention by reducing trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL). Additionally, Vitamin E has soothing effect thanks to it anti-inflammatory properties.

Alpha-Hydroxy Acids

Alpha-Hydroxy Acids are a chemical exfoliant which exfoliate the top layers of the skin, offering a variety of benefits. They are mostly derived from plant-based sources. Some of the most common AHAs are Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Citric Acid, Mandelic Acid and Malic Acid. Depending on the type of AHA, they can reduce dullness, even skin tone, reduce pigmentation, tighten pores, stimulate collagen production, hydrate the skin and offer antioxidant protection. AHAs are generally less irritating and drying to the skin as they are water-soluble.

Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid

Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid (LMW-HA) is a smaller, more penetrative form of hyaluronic acid. Unlike high molecular weight forms that primarily hydrate the skin’s surface, LMW-HA has the ability to penetrate deeper into the epidermis, where it attracts and binds water to maintain optimal moisture levels from within. This deep hydration helps improve skin elasticity, firmness and smoothness, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and dehydration-induced wrinkles. Additionally, it enhances overall suppleness, making the complexion look plumper and more resilient. It is ideal for dehydrated, dull or mature skin, and especially those in need of long-lasting hydration and improved texture.

Squalane

Squalane is a skin-identical lipid with a high affinity for the skin. Naturally found in human sebum, it enhances the skin's barrier function and promotes efficient water retention. Lightweight and non-comedogenic, squalane is suitable for all skin types.
